Yes indeed, Catalysts has moved, but that doesn’t mean we are gone, we just moved to our new website
together with our partners from Crisp Research to do the same things we used to do in an improved way. We still do great software and we are still great people, more or less only the color has changed except from our domain 😉

Digital Disruption is Happening Now: Key of Our Success

As our motto is continuous re-inventiveness of our strongest potentials, that is why it can be said that we align with ongoing digital disruption. And digital disruption has already happened:

So, what does disruption change within Catalysts? We re-invent ourselves every 2–3 years, the only constant is our biggest strength: our employees. Many years in a row we are pronounced by Kununu for the best employer in Austria. Having such a positive feedback is definitely something we are very proud of especially when it is recognized by other institutions and companies as well. One of them was the Expertenforum 2016, by the “Netzwerk Humanressourcen” where CEO Christoph Steindl was invited to hold a presentation regarding leadership.

What concepts are guiding leadership at Catalysts? What are we doing differently? What are challenges we overcome? And many more questions arose, and we were more than happy to share our take offs and experiences with others!

Many principles and theories from the prominent authors regarding leadership were adjusted and implemented in our organization. The golden thread of our organization is based on the concept of gamification, where game mechanics and design techniques are applied in order to motivate people to achieve their goals. Another approach that we find useful is the “I grow” concept, where each employee is developing his/her expertise and is then encouraged to expand abilities to get a broader scope.

Large interest was shown in our “pancake” flat hierarchy. This type of structure is still rarely present, because of lack of management control. In our case it provided positive and inspiring working environment. It fosters information flow and enhances innovation, therefore, every employee is encouraged to share ideas and supported in implementing them. The main tool that tells us whether we are on the right track is TeamEcho, where our employees anonymously send feedback about their level of satisfaction with their working environment once a week. So far the shown level of satisfaction is constantly high which is a great indicator that we are doing things right! Although, we must admit, this would not be possible without such good team members and their willingness to cooperate and support each other!
