After numerous office openings in the last 12 months (Hagenberg, Perg, Innsbruck, St. Pölten, Salzburg, Frankfurt am Main and Cologne) Catalysts once again increases the office space by almost 700m² in the Linzer Tabakfabrik.
“In 2017, we have grown by over 30%, not only in terms of sales, but also among our employees. In times of skill shortage, that’s not easy”, says Catalysts’ CEO Christoph Steindl.
Inspiration for this office was an event format known as “Get inspired by Catalysts”. In 60-90 minutes slots our colleagues proudly demonstrated the projects and technologies they worked on and excited the visitors. Interested parties could book their personal Inspired event via a simple form on our website.
As the Get Inspired events became more and more popular, the idea of having a new office space, later named the Digital Future Space, became obvious. The Digital Future Space in the Tabakfabrik Linz is on the one hand a publicly accessible exhibition space to be inspired, on the other hand it offers a workplace for the architects of the digital future.
In Catalysts’ Digital Future Space, new technologies are presented as interactively as possible – not by trainers, but by the experts who work on topics of the future. The content is constantly being updated and expanded. Catalysts wants to keep the doors open for all visitors such as school classes, business partners, or anyone who is interested in our topics.
“Today we want to show what will be possible in 2 years. We want to inspire and encourage people to start their journey into the future today”, says Catalysts’ CEO Christoph Steindl.
Digitization brings great challenges. For decades, the computing power has doubled every 1-2 years according to Moore’s Law. Anything that can be digitized will be digitized and then follows the same exponential growth curve. People can understand and predict linear relationships well, but not exponential developments. Bill Gates has succinctly put it this way: “We always overestimate the change that will occur in the next two years and underestimate the change that will occur in the near future. Do not let yourself be lulled into inaction.”
Catalysts’ Digital Future Space is already making the digital future understandable today. Join us, schedule a private tour (via firstname.lastname@example.org) or visit our event page for all events that are about to come.
